Bryan and Jim have been life-long fans of Fred Bear and Bear Archery. They would frequently visit the Fred Bear Museum when it was in Grayling, Michigan. Fred Bear’s bowhunting films inspired them to go on many of their own adventurous bowhunting trips. Bryan has made fifty-five trips to Alaska, and this year will be his eighteenth consecutive DIY moose hunt in Alaska. Jim has been traveling to Alaska for over thirty years and he frequently joins Bryan in Alaska for moose hunting adventures. In 2019, Bryan came up with the idea to do a “Tribute Hunt” honoring Fred Bear and Glenn St. Charles on the 60 th anniversary of the iconic 1959 Little Delta Hunt. Bryan and Jim went on the Tribute Hunt for the Alaskan moose with original 1959 Bear Kodiak recurves and forty other donated items of vintage gear.
